Grandpa Jolley

On April 15 Todd's Grandpa Eldon Dale Jolley ended his sojourn on earth.
Grandpa Jolley was a father, a rancher, a faithful and humble man, and a giant in our family.  We are blessed to have known him, and to be part of his family.  Here he is with Todd on his baptism day.
On April 18 we made the long drive to Idaho to remember Grandpa with all of the family, and to say a last goodbye.  The kids were delighted to find some snow in the mountain pass.  I believe B is straddling the border between Idaho and Montana here.
There was a lot of fun to be had with second cousins.  Parker and Eli, whose grandparents, Barb and Boyd, run the ranch now, were delighted to take us on an official tour of their ranch.
I think Grandpa would have loved to see the kids playing and enjoying the ranch that he built.
Our kids were glad to see their grandparents, too.
Grandpa's funeral was on Friday, April 20 in Salmon. Afterwards we drove to Idaho Falls for his burial.

We are still trying to get used to the idea of a world without Grandpa Jolley, but we know that we can see him again.  I'm so happy to know that families can be together forever.  Grandpa is certainly very happy to be reunited with Grandma Jolley.  They are special people.
